Sufi really came through for our event at UCSD--the food was excellent! Big thanks to Javid Jan, the owner, for his support, and to Afshin for helping with the setup and process. They made everything easy and seamless for us.

Have. Erin wanting to try this place. It's an order at the counter and they bring to your table. There were lots of tables but friending on timing it could be hard to find a table. The menu is elaborate. All was served timely and piping hot. Everything tasted fresh and with lots of flavors. Servers were kind too. The place was clean, airy, and comfortable. Great place for a casual lunch.

Looking for authentic Mediterranean food in San Diego? Come check out Sufi Mediterranean Cuisine! We have passed by this place more than 1000 times and finally came in to visit. Wow! We should have come many years before! The restaurant is beautiful! They host large events but also has a regular restaurant side. The menu is impressive! So many different options to pick from. You order at the counter then find your own table. The server will bring the food to you. The service was actually pretty good. Note! The portions here are HUGE! We definitely can share one plate and both be full and take some home. We ended up ordering two large plates with the Barley soup. I love the food here! Koobideh Kabob and Chichen were both excellent. The barley soup was different than I expected, but I also liked it. We enjoyed the authentic vibe and traditional Mediterranean food. We will come back for sure!

Stopped by here on a Saturday because we were really craving hummus. We got a side of their Samosas as well. Both were very tasty but the Samosa was our favorite. There was also a green sauce it came with that was absolutely fantastic. I could drizzle that thing onto absolutely everything if I could! Will have to stop by for their kabobs next time. Service was fast and friendly! And parking was super easy - big lot attached.

We were recommended to go to Sufi and it seems to be the spot in town for some authentic Persian food! There was a huge event happening when we came so they closed off a large amount of the restaurant however they still kept one side open. You order first, receive a number and they deliver it to your table. The service was very friendly. I honestly have no idea what we ordered but we tried a little bit of everything. Our Persian friend recommended we get crispy rice but they unfortunately ran out when we came. The food was good. I wasn't blown away by any of the dishes by any means but I would definitely come back and try some of their other things!

I've been coming here for a long time; since it was still connected to the grocery store next door. There's a reason why I always come back, and why I always bring out of towners here when they are feeling something healthy and filling. Hubby and I always get the same thing- Combo chicken and beef plate or gyro plate! the servings are HUGE and sometimes we share. Food is always fresh and served quickly even when it's busy. Service is great here as well. Daud has been serving since it was next to the grocery store and we are always happy to see him when we come in. He always gives us a friendly greeting and remembers us. He also makes sure we have everything we need from our food to drinks, to extra sauce! The dining area is super spacious and decorated very nice and clean. I always feel comfortable and ready to eat! Will always come back . Def a place i would highly recommend!

The food at Sufi is so comforting and delicious! I was kindly invited to dinner by a wonderful friend who wanted to be able to share Persian food with us. What a treat! He walked me through the menu that has some well known items as well as some lesser known options for those not as familiar with Persian food. The menu also seemed to be slightly fusion with some non-Persian foods like chicken tikka masala and samosas. We each ordered an entree, but also shared some appetizers. The only miss was the crispy rice appetizer. It was a little too hard and inedible. Everything else was an absolute hit! I ordered the koobideh combo platter. It came with the garden salad, rice and koobideh (one ground chicken and one ground beef). I was obsessed with the dressing on the garden salad. It was so good, but I also appreciated that it was poured on lightly- just enough to enjoy, not too overwhelming. The koobideh was flavorful and tender. Paired with the rice, it was so warming and good. It also paired really nicely with the yogurt side. This is a great spot to dine with friends. I had such lovely company and we enjoyed our meal on the spacious outdoor covered patio area. They also have a very large indoor area with ornate decor. Parking is very easy here and prices are very fair for the portion!
